a new beginning
For more than fifteen years I was a web application developer. I created complex web solutions for clients. Not all of them were what we would call internet solutions. Some of them were local solutions installed on some remote server on the client’s end and serving his employees or his client’s employees internally. More than five years ago, I found out I have lost my passion for programming. Since programming was what I was doing for a living, I tried to overlook this harsh fact and move on with my career, but no matter what I did, the passion for writing code, was no longer there.
I had no idea what I was to become next. I was never one for studies. I learn fast and studying long and hard just bores me to be honest. I had some business experience and I needed someone to give me a chance. I found out that my passion is now in business development.
when opportunity arises
In the last five years or so, Elinor, my life partner has been grooming her own business. What started out as a community management and social media services type business, met market needs and became something else. Elinor now needed to re-brand and find someone to help her with her business growth. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time and take on the challenge and set out to discover one of my life’s greatest adventures so far.
We decided to create The Engagement Strategy Group together taking an old chewed up word – growth, and giving it new meaning. We do growth in a very exceptional way. Our basis for the growth strategy puts people as communities in the center of the process.
We let businesses grow from their communities’ demand changing the flow of business development to come from the end users and climb up the ladder until it reaches the management – our customers – to make changes and grow to where their communities want them to be, need them to be.
Living the adventure
It has been less than a year to this journey, which started as a personal growth process, but is now connected to each of every client of ours and their business growth process.
I have done so many things for our clients in the past few months and it is never boring. I have found my passion again and I can describe the whole process in one word more or less, growth.
